FDNY Firefighters Prevent Drowning

Brooklyn's Bravest pulled an unconscious man from the waters of Bay Ridge Channel last night.

Engine 241 sped to the pier at 58th Street and First Avenue at 7:45 p.m., and Lt. Robert Knoop dived in and grabbed the man.

Firefighter Tom Feeney threw a life ring to the two - then six firemen pulled their boss and the victim to safety. Firefighter Steven Dempsey jumped in the drink to give them a hand.
