A third-alarm fire burned through an apartment building in downtown Hoboken Friday morning.

A third-alarm fire burned through an apartment building in downtown Hoboken Friday morning.

Flames were still shooting through the roof of the five-story apartment building on Washington Street late Friday morning. The fire began at 4:00am, and took several hours to get under control.

No injuries were immediately reported. Busy Washington Street is closed as firefighters battle the blaze.
