    A veteran firefighter has been tapped to become Thornton's fire chief after a sex scandal involving his predecessor rocked the tiny village last summer. Brian Kolosh, 29, will replace John Klaczak, who was fired in July after being indicted on sex charges involving minor boys who were in Thornton's fire cadet program.
