Firefighter Honored For Life-Saving Action

Stevens was honored with a departmental commendation at last week's township board meeting for her actions. "It really doesn't matter whether you're on duty or not," Deputy Fire Chief Paul Brouwer said. "It's something in your blood, just a certain mentality that firefighters have."
