Missouri Captain Collapses At Station

A 26-year veteran of the department, it was reported he was on duty doing prescribed department exercises when he had chest pains.
Fire Captain/Chief Medical Officer Dennis G. Mignerone of the Webster Groves, Missouri, Fire Department suffered a heart attack and died January 21 while on duty.

A 26-year veteran of the department, it was reported he was on duty doing prescribed department exercises when he had chest pains. He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Captain Mignerone is survived by his wife Patricia and his three daughters, Antoinette, Angela and Amy.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday January 23, 2003 at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Ave. in Affton. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday January 24, 2003 at Kutis Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Simon the Apostle Church, 11011 Mueller Rd. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 Mackenzie Rd. following the mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Simon the Apostle Church in lieu of flowers.
