Tour Buses Burn in Pennsylvania

Jan. 8, 2012

Jan. 08--Firefighters battled blazes Saturday evening in six Lion Tour buses parked in the company's lot in Bristol Township, Bucks County.

A fire truck from the Edgley Fire Department was sent to the parking lot shortly after 6 p.m., a Bucks County fire dispatch supervisor said. The fires started in three buses, then spread to three others.

No one was reported injured and the fires were soon declared under control.

A fire marshal was on the scene Saturday night trying to determine the fires' cause, authorities said.

In May, firefighters from the same Edgley company fought a fire that broke out in a tour bus that had been parked in the company's garage.

That fire then moved to the building. No one was hurt in the blaze, which broke out early Sunday morning May 1, about 40 minutes after the last employees had left the building.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito declared it an arson, PhillyBurbs.com reported.

The bus depot is next to the fire department and adjacent to Amtrak railroad tracks.
