Firefighters battled a blaze at a southeast Houston warehouse that contained a vat of acid and other possible hazardous material early Monday morning.
The fire broke out at the warehouse at 5898 Heiser near Dixie about 4 a.m., according to the Houston Fire Department.
Firefighters extinguished the flames but were still putting out hot spots about two hours later.
No injuries were reported.
HazMat units were dispatched to the scene after firefighters discovered a vat of acid inside the building and acetylene and oxygen tanks at the back of the warehouse. It is unclear if the tanks or the vat were damaged in the blaze. It is also unknown if any hazardous material leaked.
Arson investigators are trying to determine what sparked the fire.
