Twenty fire and EMS units from six departments extinguished a wildfire in Harvey County about four miles north of Burrton.

Jan. 17--BURRTON -- Twenty fire and EMS units from six departments extinguished a wildfire in Harvey County about four miles north of Burrton on Tuesday.

The fire was bounded by Wheat State Road and Burmac Road, between Northwest 36th and 48th roads, according to the Harvey County dispatch.

The first call came in at 11:16 a.m., according to dispatch.

Halstead units knocked down the west side of the fire but, high, shifting winds made fighting the fire difficult, officials said.

The fire was completely out at about 2 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
