Chicago Firefighters Get Call of Smoke in a Train Car

Jan. 22--The CTA Blue Line is experiencing minor delays due to fire department activity near Grand and Milwaukee avenues, officials said.

As of 10:10 a.m., the nature of the incident was not immediately known, but the CTA's web site stated there were delays.

Shortly after 10 a.m., fire officials at the scene called an EMS Plan 1 which means at least five ambulances were called to the location. Fire media information said there was smoke in one of the train cars.

The power was shut off while firefighters investigated the cause of the smoke.

As of 10:30 a.m., there were no reported injuries and the scene was secured.
