GREELEY, Colo. -- A tree trimmer helped save himself on Monday when his truck suddenly caught on fire while he was working about 25 feet in the air.
"I was up in the bucket up in the air; I had only been up about 15 minutes," Jesse Ortgiesen told the Greeley Tribune. "Something wasn?t working right and my brother hopped out of the truck and I looked down and saw flames. I was about 25 or 30 feet in the air.?
Ortgiesen said he worried the hydraulics of the truck would fail, so he climbed into the tree he had been working on.
Greeley firefighters got Ortgiesen out of the tree and put out the truck fire.
