Tenn. Residential High-Rise Damaged by Fire

Feb. 06--A fire early today at a residential high-rise on Madison near Danny Thomas caused an estimated $100,000 to the building, according to the Memphis Fire Department.
An automatic sprinkler system helped firefighters douse the blaze at the Wesley Madison Towers, 383 Madison, reported about 1:45 a.m., according to a statement released by Lt. Wayne Cooke, a spokesman for the fire department.
The sprinkler system confined the blaze to one unit and one woman was treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
