Feb. 13--Macon-Bibb County firefighters resuscitated a fellow firefighter Saturday night after the 47-year-old lieutenant collapsed.
David Bloodworth, a 23-year veteran of the department, went into cardiac arrest just before 7 p.m. at the department's station on
Riverside Drive, Fire Chief Marvin Riggins said. Firefighters performed CPR and used an automated defibrillator to restore Bloodworth's pulse before he was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
Bloodworth is recovering well, Riggins said.
