A woman who recently moved to San Diego hit a fire hydrant downtown early Wednesday morning.

The woman was exiting southbound interstate 5 at B Street around 1 a.m. when she lost control of her Toyota Prius and hit the hydrant.

The woman, who just moved to town from Illinois five days ago, said she was unfamiliar with the ramp.

Friends wrapped her in blanket while city crews turned off the water.

Firefighters waited until the water was turned off to rescue one last passenger, a large plush teddy bear that was a Valentine?s Day gift for a friend.

The woman driving the car was uninjured.
