Two Police Officers, Four Others Hurt in Colo. Fire

Six people including two police officers and two children were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a fire in Northglenn.

NORTHGLENN, Colo. --

Six people including two police officers and two children were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a fire in Northglenn.

The fire started about 4:20 a.m. in a duplex on York Street.

Firefighters rescued several people and a dog, according to Stacey Mulligan with North Metro Fire Rescue.

An adult man, an adult female, two children and two police officers were taken to three different hospitals.

There is no word yet on their conditions.

A dog was taken to a 24-hour veterinarian office for treatment.

Mulligan said there is moderate smoke and fire damage to the unit that caught fire. The person living in the second unit was able to return home.
