Michigan Firefighter Hurt in Bakery Blaze

A sprinkler head fell and struck the firefighter.

A firefighter was injured early Saturday while battling a bakery fire in Kalamazoo.

The firefighter was hurt when a sprinkler head fell on him, according to WSBT.

The fire was so intense that floors collapsed. Sarkozy Bakery was planning to celebrate its 34th anniversary Saturday.

The blaze destroyed the building and firefighters continued battling hotspots throughout the day as the fire rekindled and flames re-emerged at the scene, the station reported.
