Feb. 27--It took about 90 minutes for firefighters to contain a four-alarm blaze at a Mountain View apartment complex Monday afternoon.

The blaze at the Dana Garden Apartments at 200 East Dana St. affected 10 units, Mountain View fire spokeswoman Jamie Garrett said. Firefighters had not yet entered the affected apartments at the time the fire was contained about 5 p.m., she said.

No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.

Some residents were evacuated, and others were told to stay in their apartments. A temporary shelter for residents was set up at Landels Elementary School at 115 West Dana St.

An assistant apartment manager said the fire started in apartment No. 57 of the 149-unit complex about 3:30 p.m. Monday. About 60 firefighters responded to the fire, including personnel from Palo Alto, Moffett Field, Santa Clara County and Sunnyvale, as well as Rural EMS.

A fire investigator was also on scene.
