Mont. Firefighters Plead Not Guilty to Theft From Dept.

Feb. 28--Two volunteer firefighters pleaded not guilty Monday to charges alleging they stole items from the Basin Volunteer Fire Department.

Joe and Carri Robertson both appeared in Boulder Justice Court and each face misdemeanor theft charges. The pair is accused of taking coats and flares from the volunteer fire station, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The value was the alleged stolen property is less than $1,500.

Justice Dennis Giulio set their next court hearing for March 26, where a trial date and other hearings will be set.

The Robertsons were arrested on a warrant in connection with the theft charges on Feb. 22, and both are free on bond.
