March 03--SALYERSVILLE -- A Floyd County Rescue Squad unit on its way Friday night to lend aid to hard-struck Morgan County was involved in a wreck in Magoffin County.

The rescue squad had been called to offer assistance in Morgan County, after that community was struck by tornadoes for the second time this week. Early unconfirmed reports from West Liberty say that there has been widespread destruction and many injuries. There have been no reports of any deaths at the current time.

While the rescue squad vehicle was traveling through Magoffin County, it encountered the storm system passing through the area. Reports say the wind blew a tree and a utility pole into or onto the truck, knocking it off the road.

Those in the vehicle have not yet been identified, but there were no life-threatening injuries. One of those involved reportedly sustained a broken leg.
