A late-night fire in Bohemia Thursday left a volunteer firefighter hospitalized with minor injuries, police and fire officials said.
The firefighter was not identified.
Suffolk County police said it was not clear what kind of injuries the firefighter had suffered, but said he had been taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
The fire at a home on Norman Drive was reported at 10:24 p.m., fire officials said. Firefighters from Bohemia, Lakeland, Sayville, West Sayville and Holbrook fought the fire. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
