April 10--A fire that broke out Tuesday morning in a Mountain View apartment complex injured no one, but likely rendered several apartments uninhabitable.

The two-alarm blaze broke out just before 8 a.m. in the seven-unit complex at 1571 El Camino Real, said Lynn Brown, a spokesman for the Mountain View Fire Department. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by about 8:30 a.m.

After arriving at the scene and discovering smoke and flames coming from the complex, firefighters evacuated the entire complex. Mountain View firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Palo Alto and Moffett Field.

At least one, and perhaps several more units were rendered uninhabitable, Brown said, and fire officials

have contacted the Red Cross to house anyone who won't be able to return to their apartment.

A team of five investigators were arriving at the scene Tuesday morning to being searching for the cause of the blaze.
