April 12--A firefighter was injured Thursday while battling a two-alarm blaze at an apartment building in northeast Houston, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 3:30 p.m. in a mechanic shop along Mesa near Richland then spread to a nearby apartment building, Houston Fire Department officials said.
An HFD spokesman said he didn't know the extent of the firefighter's injuries and said no other injuries were reported.
Firefighters remain at the scene. HFD arson officers will investigate.
