Pa. Firefighter Injured After Stepping on Live Power Line

A firefighter was injured after stepping on a live power line at the scene of a fire in New Castle Wednesday.

A firefighter was injured after stepping on a live power line at the scene of a fire in New Castle Wednesday morning.

Crews responded to the vacant home on the corner of Seventh and Maple streets and worked to protect a nearby home from the flames, according to WTAE.

Officials told the news station that the injured firefighter is expected to be OK.

The fire is being considered arson and an investigation is ongoing.
