A woman attempting to stop skidded on a wet road into a Rogers fire truck that was responding to assist a medical unit Friday morning.
The 2005 Impala, driven by Samantha Tygart, was going south on North Second Street as the apparatus driven by Firefighter Matthew Burnett with lights and sirens activated was heading north on the same road, according to KHBS-TV.
Tygart's vehicle side-swiped the fire truck before slamming to a guardrail.
She was transported to Mercy Medical Center for minor injuries.
The three firefighters in the apparatus were uninjured.
The crew was responded to a medical call in Bush Creek at the time of the crash, officials told the news station.
Rogers police said that Tygart was cited for careless driving.
There was no word on the extent of the damage sustained by the fire truck.
