A motorist died Sunday morning after rear-ending a fire truck in Hesperia.

A motorist died Sunday morning after rear-ending a fire truck in Hesperia.

A San Bernardino County firefighter who was in the truck when it was hit received minor injuries and was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton for treatment.

Fire officials say the other driver, a man in his 20s, lost control while exiting the northbound 15 Freeway at Oak Hill Road at 6:42 a.m.

A fire truck was stopped on the shoulder of the off-ramp for a rollover car crash. Officials say the truck had its emergency lights turned on.

The driver who struck the fire truck died at the scene. His name was not available.
