April 29--HARTFORD -- An airplane reportedly caught fire after landing at Brainard Airport in Hartford Saturday night.
Hartford firefighters had been dispatched to the field, which was reportedly inbound with smoke in the cockpit.
The control tower then told firefighters the plane was on the ground and burning.
Firefighters initially had difficulty finding the plane, but then reported the pilot got out of the plane and was with them. Initial reports indicate there were no injuries. Firefighters used foam to extinguish a fire.
The airport was closed to other traffic.
