Md. Firefighters Battle Blaze at Commercial Building

A fire caused significant damage to a 1-and-a-half-story commercial building in the Oxon Hill/Fort Washington area early Monday morning.

Prince George's County firefighters responded to the blaze in the 7400 block of Livingston Road around 5:15 a.m. to find flames showing from the rear of the building, according to a department news release.

Crews quickly contained and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Damages were estimated at $50,000 and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
