WASHINGTON, Conn. -- An early-morning garage fire Wednesday nearly wiped out the town's fleet of dump trucks, officials said.
The blaze, which started at about 4 a.m., reportedly destroyed several of the town's trucks. Firefighters responded to the garage off Blackville Road by about 4:30 a.m., after neighbors reported hearing explosions. The garage was fully engulfed in flames when emergency officials arrived.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters from companies in Washington, Northville and Roxbury responded to the call, according to reports on Twitter.
Fire crews are still at the scene. Authorities don't know what caused the fire yet, but the state fire marshal's office has been called in to investigate the fire.
