May 13--Firefighters rescued a wheelchair-bound man from a burning home this morning in south Orange County.

The blaze, on Chorlton Circle in the East Park community, was called in just before 6 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke coming from an attached two-car garage, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

After learning one of the residents used a wheelchair and couldn't get out, firefighters went in and brought him out unharmed.

The home's two other residents were also uninjured.

Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading beyond the garage. Orange County Fire Rescue said the State Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
