Sacramento firefighters presented the City Council with a study Tuesday that suggests ways to prevent cuts, including imposing fees.
Some fees proposed are for false alarms, for drug or alcohol-related car accidents, rescuing someone who was violated the law (like trespassing) and a lockout fee, for responding to unlock homes or vehicles for people.
Firefighters also suggest a $100 fee for riding in a fire department ambulance.
These fees are suggested in order to combat cuts proposed by the City of Sacramento, who faces a close to $16 million budget gap.
