ANDERSON, Ind. -- Approximately 1,000 feet of fire hose caused a bit of roadside havoc Wednesday afternoon, after falling off the back of a fire engine.

According to Fire Chief Phil Rogers, the truck was traveling south on Arrow Avenue about 2 p.m. on its way back to the station, when it hit a bump in the road causing the hose to become loose.

Rogers said the hose happened to fall off near the curb, and did not block traffic except along intersections.

One unlucky motorist busted a tire near the intersection of 22nd Street and Arrow Avenue, after running over a hose coupling. Rogers said firefighters disconnected all couplings to avoid further accidents.
