Two San Bernardino County firefighters received minor injuries Sunday when a motorist struck their fire truck in Victorville.

The firefighters were responding to an emergency call at 11:25 p.m. when they approached the intersection of Topaz and Bear Valley roads.

A man driving east on Bear Valley saw another vehicle stopped at the red light and swerved, causing his vehicle to overturn and hit the side of the fire truck, fire officials said.

Firefighters got out of their truck and checked to see if the man was injured. He said he wasn't hurt and declined to be taken to a hospital.

Paramedics took two firefighters to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, were they were treated and released.

It is the fourth time this year that a San Bernardino County fire vehicle has been struck by an inattentive driver.
