Wis. Firefighter Accused of Fondling Teen in Ambulance

Somers Firefighter Jodin D. Froeber has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage seizure victim while en route to a hospital last year.

A member of the Somers Fire and Rescue Department has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage seizure victim while en route to a hospital last year.

Firefighter Jodin D. Froeber, 37, allegedly lifted the clothing and undergarments of the 17-year-old girl and fondled her on July 19, 2011 while they were alone in the back of an ambulance headed to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital, according to The Racine Journal Times.

The complaint states that teen had suffered a seizure and was too tired from the medication she was given and was able to move or open her eyes during the alleged assault.

Froeber was charged with one count of second degree sexual assault and if convicted, he could face a fine of up to $100,000, jail time of up to 40 years, or both.
