Three People Killed in Wisconsin House Fire

The victims of the fire in Argyle are believed to be children.

Three people are dead as a result of a house fire in Argyle early Friday morning. The victims are believed to be children; their names have not been released yet.

An Argyle firefighter confirmed three deaths resulting from the fire and Lafayette County Coroner Virginia Douglas said she had been called to the scene of the fire in the 400 block of Oak Street but no details were disclosed.

Argyle police and fire officials were expected to hold a news conference Friday afternoon.

The blaze was reported about 3 a.m. in the southwest Wisconsin community, about 45 miles southwest of Madison.
