Dec. 26--Firefighters needed about 45 minutes Wednesday to put out a fire in a storage container at the World Trade Center site, an FDNY spokesman said.
Spokesman Frank Dwyer said a call for a fire at the site came in at 11:28 a.m. and 25 units and more than 100 firefighters responded in about six minutes, "because of the location and the complexity" of the site, Dwyer said.
The fire was extinguished at 12:19 p.m.
Dwyer said officials were not immediately sure of what caught fire in the storage container, but there were no injuries.
