Dec. 27--Two people died in a fire at a home in Mt. Lebanon early Thursday, a police official said.
A neighbor saw flames coming from the house in the 900 block of McNeilly Road and reported it about 7:22 a.m., Mt. Lebanon Deputy Police Chief Mike Gallagher said.
He said the house was fully engulfed when police and fire crews arrived. He said the identities of the victims will not be released until authorities notify members of their family.
Allegheny County fire marshal and homicide investigators are involved, Gallagher said. He said authorities don't know the cause of the fire but saw nothing suspicious.
Firefighters and officials from Mt. Lebanon, Castle Shannon, Dormont and Allegheny County responded.
