Dec. 28--A three-alarm fire damaged a duplex Friday morning in York City's west end, leaving eight adults and 10 children homeless, Deputy Fire Chief Greg Halpin said.
No one was hurt, he said.
Firefighters were called to 836 and 838 W. Locust St. about 6:50 a.m. for the blaze, which took about a half hour to bring under control, Halpin said.
Two adults and four children were displaced from 836 W. Locust, he said, and six adults and six children were displaced from the two apartment units in 838 W. Locust St.
As of 9 a.m., crews remained on scene doing cleanup.
