Medical Helicopter Crash in OK

LATIMER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

One person was killed and three were injured Tuesday night when a medical helicopter crashed in Latimer County, Okla., shortly after taking off from Choctaw Hospital in Talihina in LeFlore County, authorities told CBS-affiliate 5NEWS in Fort Smith.

Police, firefighters and emergency crews responded to the scene of the helicopter crash at about 6:30 p.m., according to a hospital spokesperson.

Of the three people who were injured, two are being treated at the hospital. One was airlifted to a different hospital in critical condition, the spokesperson said. There were four people on-board the helicopter at the time of the crash.
