Two Killed in Calif. Trailer Fire

Neighbors said a man and woman lived in the trailer.

Sept. 04--SAN LEANDRO -- Two people died in a fire in a trailer at a San Leandro mobile-home park early Wednesday, authorities said.

The victims, whose names weren't immediately released, were found dead inside a travel trailer at the Estudillo Trailer Park at 1468 Grand Ave. after the fire was reported about 3:30 a.m.

One of the victims was found inside shortly after the fire was extinguished, while the other was discovered under a pile of debris, authorities said.

Neighbors reported that a man and a woman lived in the trailer, said Aisha Knowles, spokeswoman for the Alameda County Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Knowles said
