Oct. 08--LUMBERTON -- A former volunteer firefighter pleaded guilty to arson on Friday, according to Lt. Brian Duckworth, a fire investigator with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
Duckworth said five other counts against John Bradley Fogleman, who lives on 23rd Street in Lumberton, were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
According to Duckworth, Fogleman will have to complete 100 hours of community service within six months and will have to spend one year on supervised probation. He was also ordered to pay $1,205 in restitution to the East Howellsville Fire Department on top of $250 in fees and $200 in court costs.
Fogleman, who was a probationary firefighter with the Northwoods Fire Department at the time, was charged in May 2012 with six counts of burning woodlands off Lee Britt Road in the East Howellsville area.
