Gunshot Wounds, not Fire Killed Texas Man

The body was found last week in a torched car.

Nov. 08--SAN ANTONIO -- A man found dead in the back of a torched car north of downtown last week died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner's office.

The death has been ruled a homicide.

The body was found while crews extinguished a blaze that engulfed a Nissan Altima in the 1900 block of Capitol Avenue around 8 p.m. Nov. 1.

The man's identity has not been released.
