Nov. 27--No one was injured in a fire at a Oak Ridge home owned by NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick this morning.
At about 12:16 a.m., the Oak Ridge Fire Department responded to a fire at 8419 Haw River Road, said Chief Steve Simmons. He wouldn't say where the fire started or if Harvick was inside the home at the time.
However, there was a post on Kevin Harvick's Instagram account showing firefighters in the home.
The statement "Tonight we were lucky thanks to these guys we still have a house!" was posted with the photo.
His wife, DeLana, also tweeted a photo with: "Nothing says WAKE UP like a fire and an alarm! Coulda been really, really bad... Thanks to our local fire dept!"
The family also issued a statement saying the fire started in the basement of their home, adding that there was structural and smoke damage, according to a report from the Associated Press.
According to Guilford County property records, Harvick and his wife, Delana, own the property valued at $4,832,400.
Simmons said the Guilford County Fire Marshal is investigating the blaze.
