Several Hurt in Maryland Fire

A fire in Gaithersburg has left seven people hurt Thursday afternoon.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County fire officials say at least seven people have suffered potentially serious injuries in a Gaithersburg fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire started in the basement of a townhouse in the 400 block of Carousel Court, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The fire has been knocked down and officials have called for an EMS task force to help treat the victims.
