Woman Killed When Houston Fire Truck Hit on Highway

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

One person is dead after a vehicle crashed into a Houston pumper Saturday.

The woman was in a Dodge Challenger when it slammed into a pumper that was blocking lanes on Gulf Freeway around 2:30 a.m., the Houston Chronicle reported.

Two firefighters in the rig were treated for minor injuries. 

According to the Chronicle, the 27-year-old male driver, who suffered minor injuries, is being charged with intoxication manslaughter.
