Philadelphia Chief Crashes Enroute to Fire

The battalion chief collided with an unlicensed driver while responding to a working fire.

A woman was injured after colliding with a battalion chief who was responding to a working fire in Philadelphia early Saturday.

Firefighters were responding to a dwelling fire in the 3300 block of Jasper Street around 2 a.m., WACU reported.

Just blocks from the scene, at Jasper and East Atlantic Streets, the battalion chief's vehicle crashed with a woman, who police says is an unlicensed driver.

She was transported to the hospital. It is unknown if the chief was injured.
