A Wilmington fire engine slid down a snowy hill, and struck a house Tuesday morning.
The apparatus -- parked at a crash scene -- slid, and first struck an unoccupied car and then, the building. There were no injuries.
Inspectors checked the house for structural damage and deemed a second-floor apartment – above where the fire truck hit – unsafe for habitation, The News Journal reported.
City officials are working to provide housing for those left homeless by the intrusion.
