Horrific Fire Truck Wreck in Texas Hurts Five Firefighters

Five fighters were injured when the fire truck they were in reportedly hydroplaned, rolled over and slammed in to a tree in Bell County Friday evening. One of the firefighters is in serious condition.
The crash also involved a pickup truck, that reportedly hydroplaned and hit the truck before it went off the road, and an ambulance headed to the crash site also crashed, according to reports. The firefighters were from Central Bell Fire Rescue in Nolanville, near Waco.
Local television station KCENTV, reported that at least one person was ejected from the fire truck during the crash and four others were trapped inside. Hydraulic extrication tools were needed to remove the firefighters from the wreck. All five firefighters were taken to Scott and White in Temple. Two people in the pickup truck were also transported to the hospital with injuries.
Television station KWTV reported that an ambulance head to the fire truck wreck also crashed, but no information about injuries was available.
The crash happened on FM 439 and was one of several that happened Friday night apparently due to hydroplaning.
