Editor's Note -- Arson is suspected in a massive fire that destroyed buildings.
At least seven alarms were sounded as flames consumed a mill building in Webster.
The fire at Anglo Fabrics Mill was reported around noon.
Webster Fire Chief Brian Hickey said two firefighters were taken to the hospital. One was suffering chest pains, according to NECN.com.
Worcester Deputy Fire Chief Geoffrey Gardell told that firefighters were working to protect the exposures.
"That building, by looking at it, is totally lost," Gardell told local television station WDHD.
"They are very difficult to fight," he added. "The term 'surround and drown' comes from fires like these."
At least three buildings were destroyed.
"We're in a very dense neighborhood here, and if not for the aggressive nature of the fire departments it could have been much worse," Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan said.
It is estimated that 200 firefighters are at the scene.
