Five Philadelphia firefighters were hurt when the tiller aerial they were in responding to a call went out of control and hit several parked cars.
According to local television station WPVI a tiller responding to a call went out of control while responding to a call in West Philadelphia on Sunday morning. The crash happened at the intersection of 55th and Baltimore Avenue.
The truck apparently went sideways and hit four unoccupied cars. All the firefighters were taken to Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment.
A witness told WPVI he saw one firefighter ejected from the vehicle and was bleeding in the road way. He was initially a trauma alert patient, but was quickly upgraded, according to reports.
No other injuries were reported. The crash is under investigation.
