Two California firefighters escaped serious injury when their tender ran off the road.
The tender, however, was destroyed in the rollover, according to KRCR.
The crew was responding to assist Cal Fire when the driver seemed to have lost control and part of the roadway buckled underneath the truck, the station reported.
It took several hours for a tow truck to pull the water tender upright because it weighs around 40,000 pounds without water, a fire chief told reporters.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
