MI Ambulance Destroyed in Violent Crash

The Twin EMS ambulance was being returned from the repair shop when the accident happened.

One person was injured after they ran a stop sign and hit an ambulance in Maple Grove Township Thursday evening.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bueche and Ferden roads.

The force of the collision flipped the car on its roof and appears to have ripped the ambulance body from the chassis, according to the Michigan State Patrol.

The driver of the Twin EMS ambulance was not injured. The ambulance was being being driven back to the New Lothrop station from a repair shop.

State Patrol officials said the driver of the car had various injured, but they were not considered life threatening.
